Introduction to English Grammar:
No matter what language speaker you are, grammar plays a key role in our daily communications and writings. There are 450 million English language speakers all over the world. Then, why not learn English grammar? In our previous blog post, we have written on grammer or grammar, what is correct? Before going into more detail, first, we should know the basic definition of English grammar.
What is English Grammar?
“Those set of rules in any language that help its speakers to pass the exact and correct information in an arranged way”. This is the definition of the English grammar. It helps us to connect words. These words connect to make sentences or phrases that would make sense to the listener.
Example :
Let’s say you watched an amazing football match a few days ago. Now you have met one of your closest friends and want to share highlights of the match with your friend. Without proper use of grammar, your sentence would be like,
“yesterday me watch match. cristiano ronaldo pot the amazing goal”.
It doesn’t make sense at all. There is a difference between what you wanted to be said and what you have said.By using correct English Grammar, the previous sentence would be:
“Yesterday, I saw a Football Match, Cristiano Ronaldo scored an amazing goal against his opponents”
Now you see how a correct use of grammar can make meaningful sentences. Also, it makes it more understandable to the listener or reader.
Basic Part of Speech in English Grammar:

The word or group of letters that represent a person, place, or thing. In simple, I always say that nouns are simple names to define persons, places, or things.
John, effort, and exam are the Nouns in our previous example.
Pronoun:
A part of speech that is used to give representation to nouns is called a Pronoun. By the way, no rule says using pronouns in your writing is a must. We use pronouns for our convenience. After using nouns one or more times in a paragraph, it is recommended to use pronouns for good readability and a pleasant listening experience.
His, and he are the Pronouns in our previous example.
Verb:
Part of speech is used to define “an action taken by noun or pronoun”. It is also known as the helping material to define the action of our noun or pronoun. This is a verb that plays an essential role in the expression of sentence purpose.
Put, pass, and fail are the Verbs used in our previous example.
Adjective:
Sometimes nouns and pronouns fail to pass the complete information. Sometimes we need some additional details. This is where adjectives play their role in giving us clear and concise information.
Poor, all, best, and entrance is the Adjective used in our previous example.
Subject:
A combination of adjectives and nouns is the proper definition of Subject. A subject can be a noun or pronoun.
Poor John in our previous example is the Subject.

Preposition:
Part of speech that is used to connect words is called prepositions. The use of proper prepositions makes a sentence more professional. Also, the use of prepositions makes it easy for the reader to understand the meaning of a sentence in a proper way.

Conjunction:
Part of speech used to connect a word with a word or a phrase is called Conjunction. It is often used to connect two different phrases. But is used as a preposition in the example.
